It started out exceptional every time. Since then Staff changes and slow service made me stop frequenting the restaurant. It has since gotten better, but be aware that the menu has slightly changed and some for the better some for worse. The little salad that was once complementary on every meal is not $2. Anyhow my take on Teppansan is similar to yours. Great quality food at bargain prices. Their Laksa is perhaps the best I've sampled in Melbourne and I simply can't get enough of their Hor Fun. 8.3 is substantially higher than I would rate it, but I do recommended the place for a quick lunch.
